Have you ever felt like no matter what you do nothing goes right for you? I mean you see everyone else around you getting what they want; how come when you try to make things happen for yourself it always ends up not working out. "It's just not FAIR!"
Have you ever caught yourself saying those same words? I know I have too many times to count. But I had a complete paradigm shift one day after reading a book by Napoleon Hill called Think and Grow Rich. Hill stated that "every failure carries with it the seed of an equivalent success." Meaning that no matter what happens you can overcome anything if you keep a positive attitude and work through the mistakes and failures. By working through them I'm talking about looking for the lesson in every situation and not giving up.
If your goal is to lose weight, run a marathon or look good for that wedding or high school reunion you are going to face some challenges but if you keep moving forward, don’t blame anyone else for your situation and decide not to give up no matter what it takes, you will always succeed each and every time.
I grew up watching all those Rocky movies and I loved to pretend I was training for a big fight against Apollo Creed. I still love watching them because now I can see how Rocky applied those same concepts described above and no matter what happened he never blamed anyone, he just kept moving forward, even when he lost everything and had to go back to working odd jobs just to pay the bills.
I found this clip and wanted to share this with you because if we can apply what is talked about this country and everyone living here will start to see success in every area of their lives. Talk to you soon.

So where do the remaining 20 hours typically go? According to ACNielsen, the average American watches more than four hours of TV each day (or 28 hours per week, or two months of non-stop TV-watching per year). In a 65-year lifetime, that person will have spent nine years glued to the tube! How much is the TV habit costing you? Rethink your TV habit and start investing a few extra hours into yourself.

Success always leaves clues and successful people all know that this world operates by certain laws and systems. Our job is to diligently seek out those systems that will allow us to accomplish the things in life we desire. It’s important to remember that successful people are always looking for a system or formula to help them achieve their goals and work to master that formula. Once they master a formula they seek a new one and work to master that one. Unsuccessful people just look for things such as cars, boats, jet skies or other new toys and work to just acquire those things but never really learn or master anything, which is why they are always poor and broke.
The next few pages will lay out a system of 8 simple steps that you can apply right now to start making a difference in every area of your life. By investing about an hour per day-over the next 365 days-you can invent your own living masterpiece. So let’s get started!
1) Begin with the End in Mind
Your first step is to get a pen, paper and stop watch and time yourself for 3 minutes and start writing everything you have ever wanted in your life. The pen should never stop leave the paper until your time is completed and when done you should have about 25-50 items. You shouldn’t worry about if some of the items seem impossible just get it out and on the paper. This is your life so dream as big as you can.
Next go through your list and circle your top 7 items that are important to you. These items should be the ones that you want right now. Now take a clean sheet of paper and rewrite your top 7 goals in the present-tense as if they are already a reality. For example: I drive a brand new Dodge Viper. My car is jet black with all gray leather interior and has every dealer option available. Remember you want to be as specific as possible because if you don’t life will do it for you and it won’t always be what you wanted.
2) Set aside 15 minutes to Dream
We all hear about visualization and we become what we most think about. So make a commitment to yourself and dream about what you want most. This is the time to forget about where you are and put yourself in the center stage. No one can take away your dreams so now it’s time for you to be the star. Think about what it would feel like to have all the things you have written about and what kind of person you would become by accomplishing everything that you desired. Imagine people coming to you wanting your advice on how to achieve their dreams just like you have.
3) Read 10 pages of a Great Book
Now take your list of your top 7 goals you wrote out and decide which one of those is the most important to you. Then go out don’t delay and get a book that will help you achieve that goal. For example: If you wrote, “I want to earn $10,000 a month in personal income.” Now a great book to get would be “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Once you have your book start immediately and read 10 pages from it every day until you have absorbed all of the knowledge contained in it. Then apply everything you possibly can, and notice how much success you will bring into your life.
4) Have a Plan and Work Your Plan
Now set up your calendar with the days and times that you will plan your future, then read, dream and work towards that future. It’s easy to get sucked in by life’s little distractions but we have to constantly be asking ourselves, “Is this helping me get what I want?” Therefore, each night before you go to bed, decide in writing the 7 most important tasks you will do the following day towards your goals. Then in the morning ask yourself, “What is the most important task I can accomplish today?” Then go to work and when you have completed that task move on to the next.
5) Make Money Your Slave
Learn to master your money and enjoy the life you were created to have. Money is plentiful for those who understand the simple rules of its acquisition. So pick up a copy of “The Richest Man in Babylon” and discover the seven principles that will allow you to pay off your debt and increase your income like never before. The simple truth is this, it’s not how much money you earn but rather how much you keep. If you want to be financially free no matter what if the economy is up or down then go get this book.
6) Invest Your Drive time Wisely
As a society, we spend far too much time in our cars. And for most people that time is sadly wasted. In order to make this your best year ever, select your most important goal and pick up a set of CDs on the subject. Commit to listening 15-30 minutes every time you drive in your car, and start applying what you learned. If you desire to earn more, you've got to learn more, and there is no better place to invest in your most valuable asset—you—than traveling up the road of life.
7) Consistently Move Towards Your Dreams
With every decision you make this year, ask yourself two questions: "Will what I'm considering doing move me closer, or pull me further away from my goals?" Only do those things that will draw you in the direction you've decided to go. And if your first answer is a resounding "closer towards," try asking this powerful follow-up question, "How would the person I desire to become, do the thing I'm about to do?" Deciding to act as the person you want to become will elevate your decisions to greatness.
8) Believe In Your Future
Believe in what you are doing and decide to never give up “No Matter What” until you have accomplished everything you have set out to do. Burn all bridges behind you and let there be No Retreat, No Surrender! That is what Champions Do, now go out and be the Champion you were created to be.
